The Annex Hotel

I’ve stayed here twice now, and it is such a treat! The service is amazing and friendly, and the rooms are wonderful, modern, and cozy. The fact that the rooms have a record player is an adorable, thoughtful touch. The location is perfect - close to the subway, but also just a walk away from a bunch of great restaurants, lovely cafes, & cute shops. This past visit, I was a little stressed because I arrived a couple hours before check-in and wasn’t sure what to do with my luggage, but the staff was super kind and accommodating. They stored my bag for me and even put it in my room once it was ready to make my experience as easy and effortless as possible. Incredible! Highly recommend :)

Annex Hotel Toronto review - dec 27 28. A lot to like about the hotel. Location, cleanliness, very nice (remote) staff, very nice, very small and basic breakfast included. Nice beds. Cute and cool overall. However a few complaints - one is super serious. Stairs down from 2nd floor: coming down the 1st very short step is NOT clearly marked from above. My athletic wife stumbled and almost fell... down the flight of stairs! I can not imagine how this passed the city safety inspection. Should (and easily could) be MUCH more visible from above. Some tiles in bathroom shower need a quick and easy repair. The bathroom sink faucet is quite loose and needs a quick and easy repair. No tissue box in room. My wife was SO close to falling down a flight of stairs it was crazy. This REALLY needs to be fixed. Thanks.
